Travis Jackson/City of Ink Design Project

Travis is a tattoo artist in Austin, Texas who pretty much devoted his entire life to perfecting the art of tattooing. He has won multiple awards for Best Full Back Tattoo, Best Color Tattoo, and Best Overall Tattoo in multiple venues. Travis started tattooing in 1994, and have been working at Atomic Tattoo in Austin Texas since 1998.

​No matter where you are, it is worth the drive to get something permanent done by a professional you know will do the job exceptionally well. Whether you want something bright and colorful, black and grey, realistic, or even something small, I can do it all. Also, I have met very few tattoos that I couldn't fix or cover-up, so if you are looking to right a wrong done to you, I can help.


Travis works personally with each client to discuss their ideas so that together we can create a visually cohesive and appealing design. This process creates the best possible tattoo for each individual client. He believes that EVERY tattoo, no matter how big or small, should be completely original. As a result, he prefers to hand-draw every tattoo that he does, but encourages clients to bring in artwork that they would like him to work with.

Claiming that client's comfort is a priority, which is why he has top-of-the-line furniture to make getting every piece as easy as possible. He also has a selection of movies, music and TV available to help pass the time while you are getting your tattoo.

Ultimately, Travis has two devotions- his family, AND his career. When he's not tattooing or spending time with his wife and kids, he can be found drawing, drawing, and drawing... you get the picture.
